Part of the problem is that they’re made out of cast iron with a porcelain coat so they will degrade rather quickly. They’re the same quality grates used on Webers more expensive models for nearly double the price (GENESIS), just smaller, and they leave beautiful grill marks that takes food presentation to a whole new level. Though this model has both a 2 and 3-burner option, the 2 burner gets HOT – up to 550 degrees in less than 15 minutes turned up HIGH. Another handy feature is the propane tank gauge. It’s spring mounted and based on a full tank. It’s highly accurate with a simple ‘glance’ at the well-marked hanging scale indicator. WHAT CUSTOMERS HAD TO SAY “Best grill I ever owned. You can take this little powerhouse ‘anywhere’ and be the life of the party – your kids sporting events, office parties, neighborhood functions, fundraisers, birthday parties, or even small get togethers. It’s also a great ‘starter’ for any first time ‘little leaguer’ to get their feet wet (or, rather, their hands ‘warm’) in the Art of Grilling. It does the job ‘fairly well’. It’s no “Weber” or other higher-end grill, but this one gets the job done ‘in a pinch’. Directions are accurate and easy to follow along with assembly taking roughly 90 – 120 minutes from start to finish to complete for one person to set-up alone. It appears more expensive than it really is giving off a good ‘first impression’. There’s plenty of space for a family of 4 – 5 while keeping its small frame. And it’s POWERFUL with its small size packing a whooping punch with its’ double burners!
